Writing is an ordinary method of communication, the business letter, the text to a friend that ends with LOL.
Writing is a form of artistic expression, which includes the choice of words, rhythms, and the form it takes.
Writing can be transcendent, where the words and the form go beyond our experience to shatter our conception of reality.
Writing is all this and much, much more. Simply put, writing is truth.
I have experimented with several forms of this art; poetry, novels, and plays. I have found some kernels of truth, but its source still eludes me.
